Sustainable Management of Mountain Forest and Land Resources in the Face of Climate Change
Field inventory of arable land and land-use types under the 2006 IPCC Guidelines and a digital land-use map of Kyrgyzstan (LULUCF).
Activities performed
- Prepared a work plan, including preliminary schedules for field missions
- Conducted 10 field missions, each lasting 7 days, to different regions to inventory arable land and determine land-use types
- Conducted the inventory in accordance with the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Volume 4 “Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use”
- Prepared an inventory report
- Participated in a 10-day remote sensing training on land use and land-use change by the six IPCC land-use categories using Collect Earth
- Participated in identifying land-use types and developing a land-use and land-use change matrix
- Developed a digital land-use map of Kyrgyzstan (LULUCF)
